The two special events are Commemoration Day and The Wirrawee Show - which are normally held on the same day.

How many days were they planning on staying? 

They were planing on staying for five days.

How much food do you think is reasonable to bring, split between 7 teenagers?

Five days meal for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and also maybe some snacks.

Who is the hermit and what is he supposed to have done?

Hermit is a story about a man who was supposed to have killed his wife and kids, and then he ran away to 'Hell' to hide and get away from the police.

Do you think the hermit will be significant in this story? Why/Why not?

I don't know he could be if he pops up during there camping trip or they just get frightened by something that they think is him.

Is their descent down Satan's Steps into hell dangerous? What are the dangers? How could they have made it safer? What would you have done?

Yes it is. A danger of them going down Satan's steps are how rocky and how far apart they are-They could slip and injure themselves. A way they could of made it safer is by putting some of the bags down and using that to help there steps down. If that was me I would've used blankets and chucked it down each steps in case I fell.

Predict what the bridge signifies
It signifies that someone else must have been where they have been because a bridge was built. It lets the teenagers know that they weren't the only ones who have gone into "Hell".
